Hello World! Welcome to my engineering workshop ⚙️

Hi! My name is Kacper and I’d like to warmly welcome you to my new website.

I’ve always been fascinated by how things work on the inside, and above all – how I can build, improve, and program them completely from scratch. As a mechanical engineering student, I decided to create this place to serve as my digital portfolio and an open workshop notebook. Here, I’ll be sharing my biggest passion: advanced design at the intersection of mechanics, electronics, and software.

What can you expect on this blog?

There will be no empty theorizing here – we focus on heavy machinery, metal chips, code, and real-world solutions. My projects usually go beyond standard DIY, which is why I’ve prepared content across a few main areas:

  • Machine Building & Robotics: I will show you behind the scenes of how my biggest projects are made. From designing custom CNC routers, through structural calculations and material analysis, to heavy, remote-controlled tracked and utility platforms (like RC snowplows).
  • 3D Printing in high gear: 3D printing is the foundation of my workshop. You will find posts about machine modifications, building advanced setups (like Voron printers), and designing and verifying complex parts using Autodesk Inventor and Fusion 360.
  • Energy Storage & Off-grid Power: I will dedicate a lot of space to power electronics. I’ll share my knowledge on configuring LiFePO4 battery packs, properly selecting BMS systems, inverters, and building safe power delivery systems for my machines.
  • Home Automation & IoT: Mechanics isn’t everything. I will show you how I integrate my own sensors and devices (e.g., custom weather stations) with Home Assistant, how I manage remote access, and how I optimize smart home systems.

Besides the successes, I also plan to share the failures here. You will see burned motor drivers, hours spent debugging code, or correcting shaft diagrams – because that’s what real engineering work looks like.

I would be absolutely thrilled if you decided to stick around. I invite you to read, comment, and build amazing things together!

(PS. If you have any questions or hardware sponsorship proposals – the form in the contact tab is fully configured and waiting for your messages!)
